So, I have been having all kinds of trouble with uploading this video to youtube and now youtube has flagged it as having copyrighted material sigh! I uploaded it to my facebook and put the link in my youtube, but that doesn't seem to work too well. So thank goodness I found an 'embed' option on my facebook so I could finally share it with you!
Let me know what you think - can I dance or can't I? :)

FOTD - Spellbound!
Today is a dreary wet autumn day here in Switzerland (Again!). I also have dancing this afternoon, but have to go out beforehand to run some errands, so can't just wear my sweats like usual :( I decided to wear a monochromatic outfit in tones of brown, only 'spiced up' with a coloured bead necklace. I liked the outfit, but decided to play it up more with more vibrant, but still subtle make up.
I've also been neglecting my Spell Cosmetics a bit lately, so decided to pull them out and use them! I am not disappointed! In fact I used 10 (YES 10!) eyeshadows on my eyes all from Spell and I couldn't be happier with the result. Let me know what you guys think and if a tutorial needs to be done :)

Quick LOTD - summer into winter chic!
So, I've been loving the whole tweed shorts with tights look this year... except I don't own any tweed shorts and can't find any in the shops that either I like, or that fit me or aren't in black! So today I decided to make my own spin on the tweed shorts with tights look.
I'm calling it 'Summer into Winter Chic' and think it looks surprisingly cute for a clothes combo I would never have dreamed of before! And no make up today or hair done, cause I just don't feel like it lol. But, I am loving how my curls are today after washing my hair - that's a bonus!
AND, as always I need YOUR opinion!. Let me know what you think - does my take on it work, or does it look totally stupid with denim shorts?
First the shoes!

Quick Face No. 2! Bring the Cheeks
So, I present to you quick face no. 2! I've subtitled it 'Bring the Cheeks' as the look's feature is rosy red cheeks that make you look like you've been out in the cold and are glowing from within. This is another one of those fall trends, so I thought it would be fun to create a look using this trend that was quick and easy to do.
There are not too many products to use and it's a very quick application (as you'll see in the tutorial below). And I used absolutely no eyeliner or under eye brighteners which makes me extremely happy - cause sometimes (like today) I just get sick of using these things! Do you guys have days like that - where you simply don't want to use a certain kind of product, even though they can 'work miracles'? Let me know below, and let me know what you think of this look!

LOTD - Leopard print downtown
So, anyway, we had to get up early and as I haven't been sleeping well lately, I left it until the last minute before I dragged myself out of bed. Then I proceeded to rush through my shower, grab some 'warmish' clothes, throw on some make up and run out the door. Surprisingly, I actually ended up looking 'put together' and not like I'd just rolled out of bed and raced to get ready! So, here is the look I am wearing today and I must say I think it's pretty damn stylish!
So, we'll start off with makeup...

The REAL me - enter at own risk!
So, today is a dreary cold autumn day in Switzerland (as per usual lol) and I have a lot of work to get through and am not really going to leave my house, so of course I am sittinge here in sweats, with no make up on and my hair hanging in it's natural state after washing it. So, I thought I would take some pics of my 'typical' at home 'look' and things that I do for fun.
I just love not having to do anything about my looks on days when I don't leave the house and especially in cold weather there is nothing I love more than 'curling up' (Figuratively speaking, cause I still attend to lots of work around the house and with my uni etc) in my sweats and staying at home.
Let me know - do you guys change into sweats as soon as you get home from work? Do you lounge about the house in sweats as a usual thing? Or am the only 'lazy' one of us who does this?
1. The 'Look':
Guess hoody in beige
Underneath, plain black shirt
Navy Blue FAR TOO LONG no name sweat pants
Completely non-matching but warm brown woollen 'explorer' socks
2. How I start my day:
Coffee and peanut butter 'toast' (we don't have a toaster so it's just a special kind of swiss bread called sudphur (zopf in German, but we call it sudphur in swiss german, but I am not sure of the spelling...) My favourite breakfast, though, is a 'croissant complete' with my coffee - croissant with grainy goodness mmmmm drooling just thinking about it...
Also check out my messy desk! Yep, this girl is no Martha Stewart or Susie Homemaker lol
3. My antics to amuse myself:
silly poses and crazy dancing around the house

Can one person change the world?
So, I just had a very interesting and depressing at the same time discussion with my brother in law (BIL). He was telling me that he thinks I should start a make up, skin care, aromatherapy etc business because I am good at it and enjoy it so much and he thinks there is really a market out there for what I am doing. However, this is my hobby and I don't want to make it not fun anymore, so I am unsure as to whether or not I should follow that path.
In addition, I don't want to 'waste' my education by being 'just another make up chick'. There are so many cosmetics companies and people in this industry already that I am also loathe to being 'just another one'. I have a bigger vision for myself. Now, I'm not saying that I don't enjoy make up, cosmetics and looking good etc, but it is not what defines me as a person. Secondly, the main thing I find enjoyable is helping other people to reach their potential with make up and cosmetics and helping them to feel good about themselves. So, if I were to start an kind of thing with my make up it would be in that area.
Following the above, I have a law degree now and a vision of how the world can be 'a better place'. I dream big and one day want to be on the ICC (International Criminal Court) as a judge. I have a vision of how to help people all over the world reach their goals and dreams, how to assist them to even dream in the first place in some cases. Now, I obviously can't pursue those goals by being a 'make up chick' can I?
I just had this conversation with my BIL and am feeling like he kicked me in the stomach with telling that I shouldn't dream 'so big' and that he used to think that way, but that everyone has different things they want to do. I totally agree with him on that, but think for me I want to use my brains and the education I have worked bloody hard for.
In my life I have endured hardship, pain, violence, sexual assault, being poor, living in the 'bad neighbourhood' and more, and know that if I wasn't such a driven, ambitious person I would have ended up with 5 or 6 (or more) kids by now (age 26) and be drinking and smoking my life away and end up just another sad case of 'what happens' in those poor communities. I endured abuse at the hands of my mother, and chose to do so, so that I could get a good education and make something of myself. To just turn around and 'just' do make up (I am not trying to insult anybody out there who has more passion for make up than I do - I applaud anyone who takes the leap to follow their dreams, whatever they may be!) will not fulfill my desires to 'do something' and somehow 'change the world'.
I don't care if only half of my dreams come to fruition, I think that is better than not trying at all. I know that right now I am really not doing anything to follow those dreams and make them happen. However, I am working towards that goal each and every day and the first step I am taking towards it is doing a masters in international european law and commercial/economics starting next year. I am putting aside any desire for a 'meaningful' legal job right now and am content to work at the local McDonald's while I follow my dreams to the United Nations, International Labour Organisation, International Commission of Jurists etc with this masters degree.
So, tell me peeps, what would you do in my situation, when on the one hand you knew that if you started a make up business (and had good ideas on how to make it work and would enjoy doing it) you could make a lot of money and be marginally happy that way, but that you wanted to do something 'bigger'? The thing is, I am not motivated by money - I mean look at me - I have the least money I've ever had in my life (exactly $0), am relying on someone else to pay for me, have been out of work for the past year, but YET I am somehow HAPPY!
I don't know, I am just feeling really depressed and like I was kicked in the gut after this conversation with my BIL, and now that I've told him my dreams I feel like if I don't live up to them that he will say 'I told you so' in 60 years when we are old and retired. So, tell me, what would you do? Read more!

Justice has been served - the necklace has been recovered!
Justice has been served and the necklace was recovered last night with the help of Alex's diplomatic negotiation skills. All the bugs previously held in custody have been released and they issued an apology late last night for what happened. Apparently it was a very big misunderstanding, as our friend Buggy wanted to just look at the necklace, but all the bugs followed her and were overcome with the beauty of it and went crazy! However, all has now been forgiven and I can finally share a picture of the necklace with you :) Read more!

New Evidence has come to Light... those bugs are going down!
So poor little Jazz was forlorn that her birthday present was missing. What can I do? she thought. I know! I'll gather some evidence to help with the police investigation. She took her camera and found that all the evidence leads to a bug-napping of her present...
First the arrow pointing to the hidden card

Then the bullseye in front of where the card was hidden

Some bugs that saw the whole operation take place

The scene of the horrendous crime - right behind the Smacks box - how could they!?

The entry point to the package...

Bug trails and cut ribbon...

And comrades that fell during the heist, which have now been taken into custody for interrogation to find out the beader (bug + leader geddit?) behind this crime.

The case of the birthday present thieving bugs!
It was the morning of 29 September 2009 and all through the house not a sound could be heard, not even a mouse. Jazz was awoken by Alex to say happy birthday and head off to work, but not before he warned her about the talk of bugs he'd heard! Beware of the bugs, they like to thieve, especially presents of the birthday kind, and even more so the ones that shine!
Jazz was too tired to pay attention right then, but later on the sleuthing began. She looked high and low and couldn't find anything, but three hours later she found an arrow pointing...
to the heater on the wall of the bedroom, and right there and then she saw a bullseye! She looked around the heater to see what she could find... and voila, a Geburstag card was behind!
She opened it up and read it's contents, but since it was in German she couldn't get all. Then on the back there was another note, and off she went bounding down the hall. To the kitchen, above the sink, right where the Smacks for Alex were kept.
She took them out and found a package. With imprints of bugs and arrows all like mappage. She ripped off the paper and what did she find? But a blue Tiffany's box which she was sure she would see something shiny inside.
But no! There were more traces of bugs on this box too. They even cut the ribbon to assist in their cue. So, she opened up the box and found it filled with bugs... and alas! no shiny things for her birthday at all:

Birthday Blues
So, my birthday is here again in 3 days. Sigh.... I always get down in the dumps every birthday. I don't really know why, except that for my 16th birthday I planned a party, made a beautiful ice cream cake and my mum bought food and decorations and spent more than she really could afford for me to have a nice birthday and nobody came. So I sat at home eating my cake and crying to myself the whole day. I'd never felt more alone in my whole life...
It will be 10 years since that day in 3 days. And here I am feeling sad, lonely and despondent again. Not least because Alex 'isn't sure' about getting married now. Well, I am sorry - you promised the Swiss government we would be getting married by June next year - you can't back out now! Needless to say I am not a happy camper right now.
Add onto that the fact that my final exam for my degree is this Friday and can you see how stressed I am? Sorry to be on such a downer, I'll probably perk up again very soon - so don't fret about me ok :) But I wrote a poem, and think I should post it here to remind in a few days/weeks/months how I was feeling and not to turn my back on myself. I have A LOT of thinking to do in the very near future methinks.
Closin' off my heart
Closin' off my heart
I guess I was never really worth it anyway
To hope, to dream, to breathe, to hope for dreams…
How can I keep my heart open
When all that I feel is broken?
From the first second I laid eyes on you
That was it for me
But I never dreamed
That you would reject me
It’s been a happy time we’ve had together
But your unwillingness to take the next step
Really bites.
Reality bites
Long teary nights
At least my waistline will shrink
And I will fit those skinny jeans I never could own before
The question of course
Is whether I open my heart again
Or close it more?
I can’t be hurt like this again
I don’t want to let anyone else in
How could you do this to me
After everything I’ve done to be with you
It just ain’t right
But then again I never am
When I pick these guys
Always the ‘nice guy’, but they never really are
Closin' off my heart
It’s better to be in the dark. Read more!

Hair and Makeup Trials #1
So, this morning when I was getting ready I wasn't really thinking about hair and makeup for my wedding, but as I looked at what I have done more and more I started to think that maybe the look I did today could be used for my civil ceremony. So, here are a few pics of the hairstyle and makeup for you to let me know what you think :)
I apologise for some of the angles in the hairstyle - you have no idea how hard it is to get good pics of your own hairstyle by yourself! So, I hope they are not too dodgy lol. I think if I did wear this hairstyle for my civil ceremony I would pin it with bobby pins instead of the bar and perhaps put some flowers in it - let me know if you think adding some small flowers would be a nice touch, or whether it would be too much for the civil ceremony.
As for my makeup - I love the eyes and cheeks I have done today - defined but still glowy and natural looking. But I am thinking that maybe I should add a berry lip instead of the neutral one. What do you guys think? I think a berry lip would look better in photos, but maybe it's too much?
Thanks so much guys! I am actually starting to get excited now, even though we are still not 'officially' engaged lol...

Is this my Wedding Dress?
So, a long time ago I saved these two pics of a wedding dress I liked. As I am now trying to organise my wedding, I am wondering if this dress is 'multi-purpose' enough. The reason is that I am probably going to be having just a civil ceremony at the registry office and then 6 - 10 months later we will hold a reception (or two - depending if we have one here and one back home). So, I am wondering if I can get away with wearing this dress (or something similar) to the civil ceremony and then again all those months later to the reception?
Secondly, will the dress even suit me? That's where I need your opinions blogger friends! I am 155cm tall (5'1") and have an hourglass/pear shape that is a little 'bottom heavy', but with no stomach. Do you think the dress will suit me or are there too many layers? Let me know what you think - my wedding depends on it! (joke)

I'm A Brunette!
So today I decided to finally use that hair colour I had sitting in my bathroom cabinet. Don't panic, it's only supposed to last for 16 washes, but on my hair it will probably be a semi permanent - once I trid to dye my hair with a red that was supposed to be wash out - my hair was pink for six months! So hopefully this one will just gradually fade a bit and keep my hair a nice dark blonde/light brown.
The reason I died is because I am growing it and blonde doesn't look so great on me when my hair is longer - the longest I can get away with it blonde is the length is now. The second reason is that I am turning over a new leaf and trying to be positive, find the perfect job etc, so what better way to mark a new beginning than with a new hair colour!?
The first pic above is just in normal indoor lighting - so it looks very dramatic and dark, but these next pics I took in front of the window, to show the variation in colour.
Let me know what you think! Is Jazz better as a blonde who 'has more fun' or a Brunette 'bombshell'?

Ring Research - Help!
Ok, so right now I am researching wedding bands and engagements rings. My dream ring set would be white and rose gold with a large centre stone on the engagement ring and an eternity band for the wedding ring.
I would like something similar to this ring on the left for the wedding band - I am certain on this - however I have two different engagement rings which I can't choose between. The sizes of the centre stones I am looking at are .75 carat for the solitaire ring and .50 carat for the more embellished one - I have tiny fingers - European size 51 and aussie size L.
So, my blogger friends, can you help me? Please tell me which ring you would pick out of these two rings below to go with that wedding band! (you can click on the pics to enlarge them :))
LOTD - Girl Next Door Chic
The reasoning behind this look is that I have some 3/4 sleeve pullovers that are now 'oversize' on me because I have lost a lot of weight since last year. But the thing is, I still like them! So how to wear them and still look funky when they are too big? Solution - pair them with a black tank underneath and pull off one shoulder and then accessorise with a funky brooch around the tank sleeve (and bra strap to hold it together). So I paired these tops with blue slouchy-ish jeans (Again this is because they are now too big for me, but perfect for weekends and lounging lol), green semi-flats, gold rose earrings, and some stacked sapphire, diamond and zirconia rings.
For hair and make up I went with the fun but still chic messy bun and simple make up with black liner and focus on the lashes. Now I must apolgise for how clumpy my lashes are - I tried to apply some individual false lashes to the outer edge of the upper lash line but I couldn't get them to sit right, so when I pulled the lashes off there was still some glue left and I couldn't remove it, so I just had to apply my mascara over the top. But I must say with using my YSL Faux Cils, I really do have the look of false lashes without having to wear them lol.
Anyway, now for the pics! Let me know what you think :)
The outfit

Assignment finally finished!
Hey guys,
So I finally finished my way overdue equity assignment and submitted it. It's not the best effort I ever made at one and the assignment is unfinished, but at least I am rid of it. If it really blows, hopefully my lecturer will let me do extra credits to make up for it..
Now, onto the real reason why I am writing this post - how is everyone? I am tired as hell, with a killer headache from not sleeping for months - damn uni! I really can't wait to graduate - next month people, next month! But once I do graduate I won't know what to do with myself - maybe my blog and youtube will suddenly have hundreds of videos and posts lol.
The main thing that I am worried is not being able to find work, as I've been here a year now and still haven't gotten a job. I am trying to trust that there is something out there for me it's just really hard after being rejected so many times. Do you know what I mean? Maybe you could help me - how do you stay positive when you are going through a really negative time and start believing in yourself again? Any tips you have I would LOVE to hear them.
Now, onto this blog lol. I am thinking I would like to start doing fashion videos and posts - is anyone interested in these? I have some really cool, on trend, winter outfits that I have put together and would like to show you, along with different ways to wear the same item - dressed up, dressed down, to work etc. So let me know if you want to see these and I will pull the camera out and start taking pics!
I am also going to be getting back into my make up channel with a vengeance - right now I am working on a request look - a black smoky eye with pink and purple thrown in there somewhere - going to practice that today and attempt to use my individual fake lashes for the first time - wish me luck! Show some love for my new Guess Handbag and Purse!
So, I finally took the plunge and bought my first ever designer handbag! I went to Fribourg last week with a friend and we ended up in the Guess store. So, I bought a really nice black pencil skirt and grey knit top whilst there (check out this video to see more of my new work clothes) and also fell in love with this handbag and purse combo. However, I didn't buy it that day because I didn't want to spend too much money at once - kwim?
Anyway, I had to go back to Fribourg today to pick up a new box of contact lenses I also ordered there last week, and had some time to kill between trains. So, OF COURSE, I had to go back to Guess to see if the handbag and purse were still there and to decide whether I should buy them or not. I went back and re-fell in love with them and figured since my birthday is soon (3 weeks eeekkk!) and my mum wired me some money for my birthday, why not buy them? (I needed them anyway as I didn't have a decent handbag for when I start working).
So, here's a pic of my new loves - let me know what you think!

P.S. I just found out as I was writing this that I didn't get the job - again - sad now but hopefully something better is out there for me. Read more!

Change of Track
Hey guys! So, I don't know how many of you actually watch my youtube videos, but those of you who do know that I have recently begun a spiritual journey of sorts and am now undertaking my first 100 Day Reality Challenge, with the theme of living from an open heart. I have a few videos up on my channel about this, which I will put at the bottom of this entry for you - if you're interested in watching of course!
I basically just want to know if you guys are interested in hearing about my progress? Should I blog about it or just make videos and post them here from time to time?
So, for an update...
I am now on day 5 of the challenge and things are going much better than I thought they would - I am SO surprised! It seems to me that as soon as you make the decision to do something everything will just start falling into place. Here are some examples of results:
1. I don't know if you know, but I have been having trouble finding work. So, two weeks ago I had a really good interview for this awesome job that I would really love to get, I spoke about it in my videos and put it as one of my goals for the challenge. And would you believe it - I will have a second interview this week, which basically means they want to hire me! Woohoo! The only downside is the work permit thing, as I have a special permit with the canton I live in which allows me to work, so I have to try to get the same thing in a different canton for this job. But I am confident we can pull it off - amazing things have already happened on this journey and it is only day 5!
2. I've been a bit worried about my legal status in Switzerland because Alex and I aren't married. This has all kinds of ramifications for work permits etc. As I said I do have a special permit due to an exception the government gave me,however we are on a time limit to make everything official. I have been putting off talking to Alex about it, because the last time I brought it up (6 months ago) he was scared shitless and told me he could 'lose everything' if we married and then divorced. Well, due to this new job situation I thought we needed to talk about it again. Guess what! He basically said he wasn't ready now but would be 'in half a year' - those are his exact words - so I guess I will be a married woman in 6 months! It's actually quite amazing really, cause that is our 3 year anniversary and the timing I wanted in my head anyway, so the minute I spoke to him about it, he was on the same timing, just hadn't told me yet.
So, what I want to leave you with today is - anything is possible, just make the decision and you will be amazed with what can come out of it.
Take care everyone - talk to you soon :)

Hella Quick FOTD 'Bitter Greens'!
Hey all my beautiful blogger friends! So, as you may or may not know I've been interviewing a lot lately trying to find the 'perfect' job for me. So, on Tuesday I had an interview in Zug and on the way home had an hour between trains in Zurich. So, of course I took the opportunity to check out the MAC store there! And, of course, I ended up hauling a little bit.
They stock palettes there, so I got one 15 pan eyeshadow palette and one 4 pan eyeshadow palette for travelling. Along with this, they also stock the pan refills!! So, of course I had to get a few - I ended up with Bitter, Club, Jest, Trax, Beauty Marked and Glamour Check (from the Love that Look collection). And, I also bought a 100 pack of face wipes. So, not the biggest haul, but fun all the same :)
So, here are the shadows all nicely organised in my new palette:
And, also of course, this hauling has led to a face of the day! Just a quick and easy one today to try out the bitter and club colours. Let me know what you think!
Products:
MAC MSF Natural
Improvise Blush - no contouring, highlighting or anything fancy today lol
Painterly Paint Pot
Bitter on Lid
Club in Crease
Glamour Check on Outer v blended out with some Trax
Nylon on highlight
no eyeliner or anything fancy like that!
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara in Black
Madly Creative Lipstick with no gloss

Adrenalin Adventure Sports Weekend!
So, today I just want to share something a bit different with you guys, if you don't mind :) Alex took me to two very action and adrenalin filled places this weekend and I just have to share!
Triftbrucke - this is 'Drift Bridge', which is basically a suspension bridge high over rocks and water that is flowing from a glacier. The glacier used to be all the way to where the bridge, but has receded over the years with global warming. So, this is our Saturday:
3.30 am wake up
4.30 am leave home for the 'starting point' 1 hour away
6.00 am start hiking from the 'starting point' to the Trift Bahn stop
8.20 am arrived at the Trift Bahn stop. We hiked the whole way there, on an incline, through rivers and over rocks. Most people just catch the gondoli up and start from there.
10.30 am arrived at THE Triftbrucke. This bridge was hella scary for me! Alex did not tell me exactly what it was before we left (Even though I knew the translation from German - stupid me didn't think it would actually BE a 'drifting bridge')
11.00 left Triftbrucke for the hike back
12.00 arrived back at the Trift Bahn stop to catch the gondoli down. Very very exhausted and high on adrenalin from the bridge, but it was worth all my pain in the end - did I ever mention I am scared of heights?! So, Saturday tested my limits on the heights...
Early start...
Some awesome mountains where the rocks looked like a castle to me:
Hiking, hiking, hiking and tired and cranky Jazz (due to early start!)
We've arrived!... scary bridge and view to glacier...
Then Sunday we went river rafting down the Aare. River rapids, cold water, hot sun - all from a blow up boat! So another test of my 'anti-drowning' abilities lol. But again it was a lovely day. We stopped for a bbq halfway down at a little inlet. Then I was brave enough to get into the rushing water further up and ride it down to the inlet. Although, Alex did have to help me fight the current getting out... (sorry no pics from this as the camera would have been destroyed. I told Alex we have to do it again next year and take a waterproof camera :) )
So, yes we had an adventure, adrenalin, sporty weekend and I got to work on my tan! Was awesome... Let me know if you guys like to do this stuff, and if so what you like to do! Also, do you like these kinds of posts? If you do, I'll do more! Read more!
